Job Summary

As the  Senior Event Planner,  you’ll lead the c atering operations at The World Bank, managing a high volume of daily hospitality requests and overseeing the performance of the Event Planner. Your role is both strategic and hands-on—ensuring timely service delivery, overseeing inbox communications, and maintaining exceptional client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage all daily catering requests for internal meetings and conferences
• Supervise and mentor the Event Planner, ensuring accuracy, responsiveness, and quality of service
• Manage the shared email inbox, triage requests, assign responsibilities, and ensure timely responses
• Liaise with clients to confirm service needs, delivery timing, dietary requirements, and special setups
• Collaborate with culinary, delivery, and facilities teams to ensure efficient operations and seamless service
• Maintain and improve service standards and workflow processes
• Track service trends, client feedback, and order volume for reporting and improvements
• Step in to manage high-profile or complex service requests as needed
• Ensure billing accuracy and maintain organized service records

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience in hospitality, catering, or conference services
• 1–2 years of experience managing or supervising team members
• Proven ability to coordinate multiple service requests in a fast-paced environment
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Experience managing a shared email inbox and prioritizing service requests
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and catering or booking software
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and client-focused approach
• Availability for early morning or peak service hours as needed
