Job Description

Job Title:  Full-Time Pathologists' Assistant

Location:  Gaithersburg, MD

 Job Responsibilities:

• Primary duties involve case tracking management
• Gross tissue dissection
• X-rays
• Digital photography
• Organization of lab work for the pathologist
• Writing preliminary reports for analysis.

Requirements:   

• Must be well organized and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must adhere to GLP, CAP and SOP policies and procedures, as applicable.
• Strong computer competence required (Microsoft Office) and ability to learn new programs quickly.

Education  - Candidate must have completed a Pathologists’ Assistant training program (NAACLS) or hold an MS degree in the biologic sciences with background in gross tissue analysis.

Experience -  Hands on laboratory experience required. Interest in medical research, desired.

License/Certification - National Certification (ASCP).
